The GED can help you reach your educational and employment goals. Most colleges and employers accept a GED credential as equivalent to a high school diploma.

Many adults who did not finish high school have the same knowledge and skills as those who graduated. GED Tests let them show they have high school-level academic knowledge and skills.

The GED is a series of five tests in Language Arts - Reading, Language Arts -Writing, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.

The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) oversees GED Testing for the State of Washington. Those who are eligible may take the GED Tests at official test centers located throughout the state. You can learn more about the following items on the SBCTC website.
